baby D

We are so happy that she is our baby! She has brought a lot of happiness and joy into our home. She is a peaceful, calm and loving girl. She loves to be in the middle of things. As the youngest of 4, she stands up for herself with vigor, and has already learned to raise her fist in anger as her face turns red. It's quite amusing. We love her with all our hearts!

Aubrey

She is born to BE. She loves life and is happy to be wherever she is. More than anything, though, this little one wants to grow up to be a teenager. For some reason, being a teenager is the end-all-be-all in her mind. I hope that the next 8 years go by slowly...we are not ready for her to grow up. I love her spunk and enthusiasm. I'm glad she's our Sweet Girl!

Malcolm

He is all boy...and boy does he keep us busy! I love the fact that he is never tired...he is constantly on the go. He loves to be outside, building, jumping, riding, scooting, digging, building or otherwise being active. He is also has a sweet, tender side ~ and he loves to be loved. I love him, and I am happy that he is our Bubba.

Laurel

She is such a sweet girl! It's hard to believe that she will start 4th grade next week. I look at her and then at Dana, and I can't seem to figure out how she got so old, so fast. Laurel is so good with little kids! She plays with them, makes them laugh, and can comfort them when they're upset. If she could change diapers, I'd let her babysit! I love her and am thankful that she is my daughter.

The Schmutzy Family

About a month ago, our friends (The Schmutzy family) went on vacation...they took their clothes, their cars, their appliances and all of their furniture. School starts next week and we are starting to realize that they're not coming back...they must like Chicago quite a lot! ;)
We're glad that we can count the Schmutzys as our FRIENDS. We love them and are so grateful for their love, support and friendship over the last 3 years!!

Aspen Grove

Nonie & Poppa (Doug's folks) celebrated their 50th Wedding Annversary (and Pop's 75th birthday) by inviting the entire Dillon family to join them at Aspen Grove in Utah in the middle of June. Our kids loved spending the week with their cousins, Nonie & Poppa, and their Aunts and Uncles. Some of them they had never met before and others they'd only met once or twice, so this was a very fun and unique opportunity to get to know their extended Dillon Family.

Aspen Grove is in the same canyon as Sundance ~ just a little farther up. It's beautiful, and the weather while we were there was perfect...hot (but not too hot) during the day, and cool in the evenings. We participated in some of the Aspen Grove activities: pottery, swimming, hikes, archery, paintball, air rifles, badminton, volleyball, shuffle board, raquetball, swimming, closing show ceremonies, etc.

As a family, we decided to do "Just Dillon" things each day, too...family talent show, family history stories, Father's Day Memories, Girls Only Tea Party, and lots of talking, laughing and sharing memories!

Here are some pictures of the kids (and us) having fun...
