the Mariners!

3 tickets for Friday night's Mariners' game against the Texas Rangers (3 rows from the top of The Safe): $30

1 bag of warm kettle corn, 1 major-league hot dog, 1 kielbasa, 1 slice of pepperoni pizza, garlic fries, and 2 sodas: $33.25

"Upgrading" from Section 321 to Section 234 because we know Poppa Gil: $0

Spending a great (but chilly) evening with 2 of my kids at a baseball game where the players broke 3 bats and the Mariners' pulled it together in the bottom of the 9th inning with 2 outs with a walk-off 2-run "Funk Blast" homerun by rookie Jeff Clement: Priceless

2007 soccer so far...

This is a little slideshow (complete with peppy music) of the kids' first 3 games. They're having a lot of fun. If you're looking for a fun way to kill a Saturday, you should come to their games!! Last game (the most competitive and exciting, for sure) is at 1pm...Last game is on Saturday, October 27th.

Cousins!

After soccer today we drove to Puyallup for cousin Zoe's 5th birthday party. We felt bad because we left about 30 minutes later than we had wanted to...When we arrived at their house in Puyallup, imagine our surprise at an EMPTY driveway...a quick call confirmed our worst fears ~ the party was in AUBURN! So instead of being 30 minutes late, we were almost 90 minutes late. YIKES! The Mays were nice enough to wait to do games and cupcakes until after our kids got there.

We always have fun when we get together with our cousins...it makes me wonder why we don't do it more often...

Baby D

Dana cracks me up. She's a very happy, busy and loving little girl. I can't believe how fast the last (nearly) 18 months have gone. When the other kids were born I had to go back to work when they were about 3 months old...and then worked full time until Aubrey was just about Dana's age. It's great to be able to be home with just her (even for just a few hours a day) ~ it's almost like having a "first" all over again.

She loves her buddy Davey. They are so cute when they see each other! I hope that they stay friends long after the "cooties" set in. Becca and I take pictures of them doing fun things so that when they get married we can say it was truly a life-long love affair. ;) Lately we've noticed that alone, each of them are angels, but when they get together they are VERY adept at finding all the "naughty" things to do ~ climb on things, close themselves in rooms, empty shelves, turn on the fireplaces, find the hidden candy, etc. And always with a twinkle in their eyes!

Aubreys First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Aubrey's first day of Kindergarten.

It seems like just yesterday that she was a stubborn 3 month old who refused to take a bottle ~ even though her Mommy was at work all day long. :(

She and Audrey were very excited to pose for pictures and show off their pretty new clothes.

We have the cutest bus-stop!

First Day of School: 4th & 2nd Grades

Yesterday was the first day of school. Laurel is off and running in 4th grade; Malcolm is excited to be a 2nd grader. Daddy went into work late so he could see them off on the bus. Despite the fact that it was chilly and RAINY, we had a good time and walked to the bus with Ethan (and his little brother Davey) and Karen. The Kindergartners will start on Friday morning. I took lots of pictures, but then deleted them from the memory card before I uploaded them to the computer...luckily Jason took lots of pictures for us.
